Jon Aarons

Jon joined Rud Pedersen in 2021 as Group Director - Strategic Development and opened the London office as its first Managing Partner. In his 40 years as a corporate and public affairs adviser, he has built global relationships and deep experience by addressing every kind of reputation, communications and policy issue. In a 17-year tenure as Partner at Financial Dynamics / FTI Consulting, Jon led issues management and crisis advisory, then strategic development for the EMEA region. At Sard Verbinnen & Co (now FGS Global) he built the London office and spearheaded European business for the storied New York-based leader in strategic, financial and crisis communications.

Jon's client experience spans every industry sector, working with clients operating throughout Europe and in many of the world's most challenging markets, including Russia, Ukraine, India and across Africa. He has supported complex and sensitive cross-border assignments - mergers, listings, disputes, restructuring, corporate positioning and policy advocacy.

Jon started his career in the 1980s on the staff of senior British politician David Owen, the former Foreign Secretary and Social Democrat leader. He is a Past President of the UK's Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
